Make Stunning Acrylic Candlestick Holders with the xTool P2
March is National Craft Month, and it was the perfect reason to set up my xTool P2 again and bring a fresh, spring inspired idea to life! With Easter right around the corner, I wanted to create something festive and elegant for my holiday decor. Using pastel acrylic and soft-colored candles in blue, green, and pink, I designed these acrylic flower stands to add a whimsical touch to my candlesticks.
These two-piece stands are designed to slide together and lock into place, making them both stylish and easy to assemble. The xTool P2 made this project effortless—the powerful laser cutter is perfect for cutting light-colored acrylic with precision, giving clean edges and flawless results. How to Make Acrylic Flower Candle Stick Holders with the xTool P2

Step 1: Import your design

The free svg cut file includes all 3 of the flower candlestick holder designs.
Import your design into Creative Space and then ensure that the slot width matches the thickness of your acrylic and also that the opening for the candle base matches the candle diameter. I highly recommend calipers for precise measurements. I got this pair for less than $30 on Amazon and they work great!
Step 2: Cut the acrylic with the xTool P2
Place the acrylic sheet into your xTool P2 and then arrange your design on the piece.
I used pastel acrylic sheets that I purchased from Houston Acrylic. The colors are pastel cornflower blue, pastel pistachio green and pastel blush pink. Use code handmadeweekly10 at checkout for 10% off if you purchase from Houston Acrylic!
Select the appropriate material (I just chose 3mm white acrylic) and then set your power and speed. I used the settings below.
- Power = 50%
- Speed = 15 mm/s
Step 3: Assemble the stands
Once cut, remove the paper backing (if required) and then slide the two pieces together until they lock in place.
If you want extra stability you can add a small amount of adhesive to hold them permanently.
Safety First: Enjoy Your Candlestick Holders Responsibly
Be sure to place them on a stable, level surface to prevent any tipping. Before lighting your candles, double-check that both the candles and acrylic bases are secure. And most importantly—never leave lit candles unattended.
For an extra layer of safety, consider using LED flameless candles for the same beautiful glow without the risk.
Step 4: Style your new spring decor
Now you can place candles in your new acrylic stands! I went with alternating colors and 3 different designs to add some dimension. You could add decorative Easter elements like faux flowers or even painted eggs around the base for a festive look.
