Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and what better way to celebrate your relationship than with a heartfelt, personalized card? I’ve got you covered with this charming free printable Valentine’s Day card, inspired by the iconic sweetheart candies (also known as conversation hearts).
Sweethearts have been on my mind lately since I heard about their situationships campaign this year. They took the reject misprinted hearts and marketed them as “messages as blurry as your relationship”. It’s actually pretty genius.
Valentine’s Day Card Design
This Valentine’s Day card design is inspired by the nostalgic sweetheart candies that have been a symbol of love for generations. It features 9 conversation hearts with popular phrases including:
- Cutie pie
- Stay cool
- Hug me
- Be mine
- You Rock
- Call Me
Under the hearts is text that reads Happy Valentine’s Day.
Fun Fact: Did you know that Sweetheart candies have been around for over a century? They were introduced in 1902. Many of the original phrases remain such as “Be Mine” but there have been updates over the years with additions like “Text Me”.

The card is designed to print 2 cards per sheet using standard 8.5″ x 11″ paper as seen below. I would recommend using a cardstock to give the card some weight.
First you’ll want to cut the cardstock down the center to create the 2 cards. Then fold them in half. The inside of the card is completely blank so you can write whatever you want!
When printed on 8.5″ x 11″ cardstock, each card will be 4.25″ x 5.5″. This is the perfect size to fit in standard A2 envelopes!
While this Valentine’s card is already charming as it is, I’d encourage you to add a personal touch to make it even more special. Consider the following customization options:
- Handwritten Messages: Write a personal message inside the card expressing your feelings and memories shared with your loved one.
- Add Photos: Attach a favorite photo of you and your valentine to create a memorable keepsake.
- Decorate: Get creative with additional decorations such as glitter, stickers, or ribbons to make the card truly unique.
