Hi Friends! It’s been a while since I posted an art related blog post like a print or a card so I figured why not do that this week. I participated in Inktober a few years ago where they challenge you to draw/paint one picture a day for the month of October and give you a prompt to inspire you. The last day of the month had the prompt “slice” and I was inspired to paint a slice of cake. Mostly because I felt like it was a celebration for me finishing the challenge. I’ve always wanted to make a birthday card out of that print so that’s what I’m here to share today. This free printable birthday card is so simple and perfect for anyone. It works for any gender or age and with the inside completely blank you can personalize it however you’d like.

You can print the card on a standard 8.5″ x 11″ sheet of paper. It prints with two on one page so you’ll just need to cut the sheet in half and then fold the cards in half. If you have any confusion on where to cut and fold you can reference the detailed instructions that I posted in my watercolor heart card. I’ve also added a highlight to my Instagram stories called “How I Make Cards”.
If you don’t have a printer at home, it is easy to print at a copy shop such as Staples. I upload mine directly to their website. Using 110 lb card stock it only costs about 70 cents per page. So you get 2 cards for 70 cents!

If you want to put it in an envelope, the cards end up being 4.25″ x 5.5″. This makes them fit nicely in a standard A2 envelope Like these that can be purchased on Amazon.
