Chai Spiced Bourbon Cocktail

Chai Spiced bourbon Cocktail

My husband is a bourbon drinker and I’ve been wanting to join him for a drink but I’m just not at the point where I enjoy bourbon on its own.  So for the holidays I wanted to make a new seasonal cocktail that incorporated bourbon.  I came up with a chai spiced bourbon cocktail and let me tell you, it’s delicious!  It’s also extremely easy to make so there is no need to be a mixologist to make this drink.

Did I mention that this recipe is super easy? 😉 Seriously, all it requires is some bourbon, Tazo Chai latte mix and ginger ale.  That’s it! I’ve linked to some of the tools that I use including the beautiful rose gold bartender set that I got on Amazon and my favorite cocktail glasses .

  • 2 oz Bourbon
  • 1/4 cup Chai tea concentrate
  • 1/2 cup Ginger Ale
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick

Instructions

  1. Combine the bourbon and chai tea concentrate with ice in a shaker. Shake well and then pour into a rocks glass that has a few ice cubes in it.

  2. Top off the rocks glass with ginger ale.

  3. Add a cinnamon stick for garnish and to stir the drink.

This is definitely going to be my go to drink this holiday season.  It’s the perfect ratio of chai spice mixed with the refreshing taste of ginger ale.  Give it a try.  I’m sure you’ll love it too!  I used Woodford Reserve bourbon for my drink but you can use any bourbon of your choice.  No need to use an expensive bourbon since you’ll be mixing it with other flavors.  Save the expensive bourbon for sipping!

This sounds good. I used to drink whiskey and dry ginger in my young adult years but am totally out of the habit, this sounds like a nice twist on that!
